java multi-connections!

Hi all,

      I'm a newbie here. 

      Recently, I'm involved in a project, which tries
      to build a Java Applet GUI for some interesting programs,
      e.g. Wumpus world. The idea is users can play around on Applet
      side, and all the reasoning will be done on the Eclipse side. 


     I have several questions regarding java-eclipse interface:

     1. How can Eclipse handle multi-connections from different users.
        
     2. Eclipse must installed on the some machine as the web server?


     Anybody has some helpful experience?
