novice in clp and eclipse

Dear list,
i'm new in constraint logic programming and eclipse but i'm going to use it
in an automatic building reconstruction research. any pointers regarding
applicability, advantages and shortcomings of clp and eclipse for this
application would be of great help.
question: how long you think it will take for me to learn this?
