ECLiPSe comes with lots of documentation. Perhaps you didn't download the
documentation package, or you don't know where it was installed?

The documentation includes:

- a tutorial introduction to ECLiPSe (good for getting started)
- a User Manual (lots of information about ECLiPSe and its features)
- a Constraint Library Manual (detailed information about the constraint
  libraries included in ECLiPSe)
- a Reference Manual (detailed information about every predicate in each
  library)

... and more.

If you can't find the documentation locally, you can browse it online at

    http://www.icparc.ic.ac.uk/eclipse/doc/index.html

Cheers,
Warwick

P.S. The use of the FD library is no longer supported - you are strongly
encouraged to use the IC library instead.
