The Laboratoire d'Informatique of the Université de Franche-Comté - France is currently looking for a Software Engineer with skills in Prolog development and constraint programming.

The environment

The Laboratoire d'Informatique of the Université de Franche-Comté (LIFC / UFC - CNRS - INRIA) has a group devoted to research in Constraint Logic Programming for software validation, particularly automated test case generation from formal specifications (see the BZ-TT page : ). 

We are currently looking for a software specialist to participate in the development of a customized set-oriented constraint solver. This position offers the opportunity to gather experience with innovative technologies and to apply it to practical problems in the industry.

Applicant's profile

The applicants will have:
- a degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related topic
- a strong interest in language design and implementation, with solid experience in logic programming and
constraints programming 
- a significant work experience in software development (at least 2 years)
- good communication skills in English and if possible in French.

This position is available for a 1 year period starting November-December 2003. After this period, there could be opportunities with the LIFC's spin-off company Leirios Technologies. This position is located at Besançon - middle-east of France.
