I have noticed also that you can't search the mailing list archive in the past (or I also was not able to figure out how to do it). I am not sure what could be done, unless we move the hosting of the mailing lists away from SF. By the way, for learning about constraint programming in ECLiPSe, you are probably better off reading some text book or other learning materials. A recent one that is specifically uses ECLiPSe is Apt and Wallace's book, which is mentioned in www.eclipse-clp.org's home page. Cisco also funded a project for Helmut Simonis at 4C to produce interactive learning materials for ECLiPSe. This is nearly (but not quite) finished, but I think Helmut is happy for people to look at it (and to give him feedback).
