problem to call a predicate in C/C++

I would like to know how it would be possible to call a predicate
written in C/C++ from within eclipse. I have read the documentation
"Embedding and Interfacing Manual" but I did not find how to solve my
problem.
I know how to do it in GNU-Prolog,  but I have to recompile the
software when I add a new predicate. Is it the solution for ECLiPSe
too, or is there another solution,  like creating a module or
something else ?
