Question regarding eclispe.el (Emacs eclipse mode)

I have a problem with the Emacs ECLiPSe mode.

If I use the debugger in command line mode then enter creeps through
the code.  If I use j, i.e., the jump to level command, ECLiPSe asks
me for a parameter.  But I cannot enter it: If I enter a number and
press return, the cursor simply jumps to the next line but does not
accept the parameter.
