Hi David,

your error message suggests that Norton stopped the ECLiPSe installer from creating a Start Menu 
shortcut to the ECLiPSe web site eclipseclp.org, which is strange and has never caused a problem 
before.

To see whether the installation otherwise succeeded, you could check both the installation 
directory and the start menu directory and see whether all files/dirs are there:

If this is all ok, just try starting ECLiPSe from the start menu (as TkECLiPSe or DosECLiPSe).  You 
should then get the GUI or the eclipse prompt, respectively.
