If you are running ECLiPSe from a binary distribution, you will need
extra binary packages to run eplex -- each external solver has its own
binary package, but we do not distribute binary packages for using eplex
with CPLEX. This is because this package would normally require
proprietary CPLEX code, which we cannot distribute. Therefore, you will
need to compile ECLiPSe from source, including building the eplex
library for CPLEX.

One exception is for Windows (32 bit), because the CPLEX library is
supplied as a dynamic library (rather than a static library) for this
platform, and thus we don't need to include the CPLEX library in the
distribution. We don't actually distribute this at the moment, but I can
send you all the required files (without the CPLEX library, of course).
You need to let me know which version of CPLEX you have (such as 12.2,
which I think is the most current version).

If you chose to compile ECLiPSe and eplex, you probably should read the
Setup guide before doing so. This is distributed with the source, but
you can also download a PDF version from

http://eclipseclp.org/reports/SetupGuide.pdf

Cheers,

Kish
