I forgot to say in my last message: you can override the settings for the stack sizes for TkECLiPSe if you start TkECLiPSe as a command, with the -g and -l command line options (for the global and local stack respectively). This should allow you to run TkECLiPSe if you have set the stack sizes too large with the preference editor.
